Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced SAP BW Support Consultant with 8+ years of hands-on experience in supporting SAP BW systems. The candidate should have strong expertise in incident management, performance tuning, data modeling, and close interaction with business users to ensure system stability and data accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Provide end-to-end production support for SAP BW systems
Handle incident management, root cause analysis, and issue resolution within SLA
Monitor and support data loads, process chains, and background jobs
Perform data reconciliation and validation between source systems and BW
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to InfoProviders, DTPs, transformations, and extractors
Optimize BW performance through query tuning and process chain improvements
Coordinate with ABAP, Basis, and functional teams for issue resolution
Support user queries, reports, and authorization-related issues
Prepare and maintain support documentation and knowledge base
Participate in system upgrades, patches, and transports as part of support activities
Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of experience in SAP BW Support
Strong hands-on experience with SAP BW 7.x / BW on HANA
Expertise in:
InfoObjects, InfoCubes, DSOs, ADSOs, MultiProviders/Composite Providers
Process Chains, Data Transfer Processes (DTP), Transformations
BW Queries using BEx / Query Designer / Analysis tools
Good understanding of data modeling and ETL concepts
Experience with monitoring tools and performance optimization
Knowledge of authorizations and security in BW
Basic understanding of ABAP debugging is a plus
Strong communication and client interaction skills
