SAP BTP Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP BTP Developer/Consultant with expertise in designing, developing, and deploying cloud-native applications on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with SAP Integration Suite, SAP Extension Suite, SAP CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model), SAP Fiori/UI5, and SAP HANA Cloud. Experience in integrating SAP and non-SAP applications and working on SAP S/4HANA implementations is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy applications on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
• Build cloud-native applications using SAP CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model).
• Develop and expose OData and REST APIs for SAP and third-party integrations.
• Design and implement integration scenarios using SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration/CPI).
• Develop SAP Fiori/UI5 applications and extensions.
• Work with SAP HANA Cloud for database modeling and application development.
• Build side-by-side extensions for SAP S/4HANA using SAP BTP.
• Configure authentication, authorization, and security using SAP IAS, XSUAA, and Destination Services.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, deployment, and production support.
• Prepare technical documentation and participate in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize applications for scalability and reliability.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
• Experience with SAP CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model) using Node.js or Java.
• Expertise in SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration/CPI).
• Experience with SAP Extension Suite.
• Strong knowledge of SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, and SAP Gateway/OData Services.
• Experience with SAP HANA Cloud and database modeling.
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript, Node.js, or Java.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, XML, and API integrations.
• Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA side-by-side extensions.
• Knowledge of SAP Event Mesh and SAP Build Process Automation.
• Experience with SAP Build Apps and SAP Build Work Zone.
• Exposure to SAP Workflow Management.
• Experience with SAP Mobile Services.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native application development.
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT, and authentication mechanisms.
• Experience integrating SAP and non-SAP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• SAP BTP, SAP Integration Suite, or SAP CAP certifications are highly preferred.

Preferred Experience

• 5–10 years of overall IT experience.
• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with SAP BTP.
• Experience in at least 2 end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation or extension projects.
• Experience working with cloud-native SAP applications and enterprise integrations.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management experience.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SAP AI Core, SAP AI Launchpad, or Generative AI integration.
• Knowledge of SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
• Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD automation.
• Exposure to hyperscalers such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• SAP Activate methodology experience.
