Hands-on Senior Data Architect to lead the design and evolution of its enterprise analytics platform. This role is responsible for defining data architecture, designing scalable dimensional models, and translating business requirements into technical solutions while remaining actively involved in implementation.
This is not a strategy-only architecture role. The ideal candidate will be comfortable designing enterprise data solutions while also building data models, guiding developers, and solving complex data challenges. The architect will work closely with business stakeholders and the BI development team to enhance an existing Snowflake-based analytics platform using Oracle EBS as the primary source system.
Key Responsibilities
Data Architecture & Solution Design
· Design and enhance the enterprise data warehouse architecture.
· Define scalable dimensional models supporting enterprise reporting and analytics.
· Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
· Establish architecture standards, naming conventions, and modeling best practices.
· Lead technical design discussions while remaining actively involved in implementation.
Oracle EBS Data Architecture
· Serve as the technical lead for integrating Oracle EBS data into the enterprise data warehouse.
· Design analytical models from Oracle EBS transactional data.
· Work extensively with Oracle EBS modules including:
· Order Management
· Inventory
· Purchasing
· Shipping
· Pricing
· Accounts Receivable
· Accounts Payable
· General Ledger
· Understand Oracle EBS tables, relationships, and business processes to support downstream reporting.
Dimensional Modelling
· Design and build star and snowflake schemas.
· Develop fact and dimension tables.
· Create source-to-target mappings.
· Build scalable dimensional models that support Power BI reporting.
· Optimize models for performance and usability.
Data Engineering & Integration
· Design and support ELT processes using:
· Snowflake
· Matillion
· dbt
· Azure Data Factory
· Work with developers to implement architecture.
· Review code and data models to ensure adherence to standards.
· Improve data quality, performance, and scalability.
Business Partnership
· Meet directly with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements.
· Translate business needs into technical designs.
· Partner with Finance, Operations, Sales, and Supply Chain teams to understand reporting objectives.
· Provide technical guidance throughout project delivery.
Technical Leadership
· Mentor BI developers and data engineers.
· Review solution designs and provide architectural direction.
· Participate in hands-on development when needed.
· Drive continuous improvements to the analytics platform.
