SAP BTP Consultant – Integration Lead | Mumbai (Powai)

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP BTP Consultant to join a growing enterprise integration team based in Mumbai (Powai). As an SAP BTP Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting integration solutions using SAP BTP Integration Suite, Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), and API Management. You will play a critical role in ensuring reliable, scalable, and secure integrations that support business processes across multiple systems.

Role Overview

The SAP BTP Consultant role focuses on end-to-end ownership of integration deliverables. From requirement analysis and solution design to development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support, you will be involved in every stage of the integration lifecycle. This position requires strong technical expertise, the ability to troubleshoot complex issues, and effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

You will collaborate closely with business users, IT teams, and external partners to understand integration requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions using SAP BTP tools and best practices.

Key Responsibilities of SAP BTP Consultant

Analyze functional and technical requirements to design integration solutions using SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI)
Develop, configure, test, and enhance integration flows (iFlows) for SAP and non-SAP systems
Design and manage APIs using SAP API Management, ensuring proper security, versioning, and performance optimization
Perform in-depth debugging and root cause analysis for integration failures and resolve issues within agreed SLAs
Support production environments and handle incident management related to SAP BTP integrations
Participate in client workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and technical discussions
Provide technical guidance and best-practice recommendations related to SAP BTP integration
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including solution designs, process flows, and knowledge transfer materials
Ensure compliance with enterprise integration governance, security standards, and quality guidelines
Identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and continuous improvement within the integration landscape

Must-Have Skills and Experience

6–8 years of hands-on experience as an SAP BTP Consultant, SAP CPI Consultant, or SAP Integration Consultant
Strong practical experience with SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI)
Proven expertise in API design and development using SAP API Management
Solid programming skills in Java for custom development and troubleshooting
Experience working with REST, SOAP, and OData integration technologies
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Proven experience in client-facing roles, including workshops and stakeholder communication

Good-to-Have Skills

Exposure to SAP Ariba integrations using BTP or CIG
Basic understanding of SAP S/4HANA integration patterns
Experience with SAP PI/PO migration to SAP BTP
Familiarity with SAP Fiori or CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model)
Experience working in Agile or Scrum-based delivery models
